Product Introduction

EPDM Running Track is an environmentally friendly sports surface system composed of EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) rubber granules mixed with polyurethane (PU) binder, either site-installed or prefabricated. Due to its excellent weather resistance, aging resistance, and color stability, EPDM material is an ideal choice for schools, stadiums, fitness trails, and similar venues. The product typically features a two-layer structure: a base cushion layer of black SBR rubber granules mixed with PU binder, and a top wear layer of colored EPDM granules mixed with PU binder for abrasion resistance and slip prevention.

Construction process
Permeable Type (Site-Installed/Sprayed) 
1.Base Preparation: Asphalt or concrete base must be clean, dry, level, free from oil and cracks
2.Primer: Apply PU primer to enhance adhesion
3.Base Layer Installation: Mix SBR granules with PU binder according to ratio, spread with paving machine, thickness approx. 9-10mm
4.Curing: Allow 24 hours for natural curing
5.Top Layer Spraying: Mix EPDM granules with PU binder, spray uniformly with specialized spraying machine, thickness approx. 3-4mm
6.Line Marking: Mark lines according to standard track dimensions after curing

 

Prefabricated Type 
1.Base Preparation: Same as site-installed type
2.Primer: Apply specialized adhesive
3.Installation: Lay prefabricated rolls according to design, connect joints with specialized adhesive
4.Compaction: Roll with compactor to ensure firm bonding with base
5.Curing: Allow 24-48 hours for curing
6.Line Marking: Mark lines according to standards
