Product Introduction
Colored pavement is a special functional road surface with color identification features, constructed by adding inorganic pigments to asphalt or concrete mixtures, or using materials such as colored aggregates, transparent resins, and polymer coatings . This technology originated in Europe and America in the 1950s, with China beginning technical exploration in the early 1980s and now widely applied nationwide . Colored pavement integrates road functionality, traffic safety, landscape beautification, and environmental protection, providing a comprehensive solution for enhancing urban image and road quality .

Construction process
Colored Asphalt Mixture (Hot-Mix)
Base Preparation: Substrate must be solid, level, dry, clean; apply tack coat
Mixing: Mixing temperature controlled at 160°C-180°C; longer mixing time than ordinary asphalt; dedicated pipes and cleaning required to prevent black asphalt contamination 
Transport: Insulated transport to prevent temperature drop
Paving: Even paving with asphalt paver
Compaction: Initial, secondary, and final compaction with strict temperature control
Curing: Open to traffic after natural cooling

Colored Anti-Slip Coating
Base Preparation: Clean, dry surface, no oil, loose layers; moisture content ≤4%
Primer Application: Apply specialized primer with trowel or roller
Aggregate Spreading: Spread anti-slip aggregates on wet primer 
Curing and Cleaning: After primer dries, sweep away excess aggregates
Topcoat Application: Spray or roll colored topcoat 
Curing and Opening: Open to traffic after 1 hour drying at room temperature 

Colored Imprinted Pavement
Heating and Softening: Soften asphalt pavement with infrared heating equipment 
Molding: Create 3D patterns with specialized molds
Coloring: Apply polymer coating with high-strength wear-resistant aggregates 
Curing: Open to traffic after curing

Colored Cold-Mix Asphalt
Surface Cleaning: Sweep and dust removal
Mixing: Mix cold-mix material on-site or at plant
Paving: Mechanical or manual paving 
Compaction: Compact with small roller or plate vibrator
Initial Curing: Open to traffic 

Precautions
Application Temperature: Hot-mix ≥110°C, Cold-mix ≥-5°C, Coating ≥5°C 
Humidity Requirements: <85%, no construction in rain or snow 
Curing Period: 30 minutes to 48 hours depending on process
Environmental Requirements: Use eco-friendly materials, reduce VOC emissions

Asphalt products: Avoid direct sunlight, protect from rain
Resin products: Keep sealed, 5°C-35°C, away from fire
Pigments: Moisture-proof, cool and dry place
Shelf Life: Asphalt 12 months, Resin 6 months, Pigments 24 months
